Through the lens of multi-facted personalities, which in their totality form the fictional character of Lorenz Krieger, this piece reflects on the human experience of self and others. Appearing to be hyper-masculine, Lorenzo Ponteprimo’s stage persona skillfully dissects gender identity and their deep longing for individuation. The solo-performance serves as an artistic analysis to our present discussion on self-perception and the ways we relate to our surroundings.
Note by the choreographer: ‘Lorenz Krieger’ is in parts a further development of scenic material based on creative researches by Edan Gorlicki and Lorenzo Ponteprimo and a solo that Lorenzo developed in the context of the performance 'Bigger Than The Universe' by Eva Borrmann. Lorenzo would like to thank both of them for their their trust.
