The Female Icon. A moral compass. An epitome of an attitude of life. A muse with a vision.

In her latest production MIRA examines female images of embodiment that wish to fascinate.

Together with three female performers Julia Riera creates her own icons - female characters, who reveal the complexity of contradicting role attributions. The resulting images exist in the space between reality and fiction, between phantasm, dystopia and utopia. The focus of the performance lays in the tension between perfection and human failure and celebrates the imperfection of the stumbling body and the revolting human spirit. MIRA10_Ikonen is inspired by works of female photography artists and transfers photographic tools of design into choreography.
