The four star explorers are in turmoil: where are the other astronauts of the starship? They enter the classroom and remind the children that they are not in school but in a space station. What? They didn’t know about that and are not yet ready for take off? The star explorers quickly explain their mission to them and prepare for the journey.
Inexplicably three new stars have appeared in the night sky and we are the first to try to visit and explore them. On our trip we find that completely new natural laws occur on these planets. They are not at all comparable to what we know from planet Earth and make our bodies move in unfamiliar ways.
In our participatory performance, the children watch the dancers from within the stage set. Again and again they get the opportunity to explore the unknown planets themselves, experiencing the movement qualities in motion. That way we combine an improvisation-based workshop with a playful dance theater performance ending with a final reflection.
