The world is waiting, and we break free from everything familiar. The unknown promises freedom, adventure, a new self! But the further we go, the stronger the pull of what we left behind. We long for a place where we feel understood, a place that smells like home, where we know every corner without thinking.
Between departure and return, we search for ourselves – somewhere between the longing for the unknown and the yearning for home.

For the production NOSTALGIA, the MNEME kollektiv invites choreographer Eva Borrmann and actor David Kilinç to collaborate. This is a project that transcends city borders, appearing on stage in Nuremberg, Leipzig, and Münster, each time with a local ensemble.

Through text fragments and powerful imagery, a performance unfolds that makes the conflicting emotions of homesickness and wanderlust tangible for both young and adult audiences.

NOSTALGIA is an audiovisual experience, combining physical theatre with discussion and workshop formats.
